Advanced Mobility Analytics Group (AMAG), Microsoft Research, and Jacobs are joining forces to co-deliver cutting-edge technology and engineering services to help the City of Bellevue, Washington State, USA, achieve its Vision Zero road safety objectives, helping to make it a Smarter and Safer City.
In this project partnership, Microsoft Research will be applying its cutting-edge Cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. Microsoft is a world leader in software development and is applying machine learning technology that assists humanity to make city-living better, more efficient, and safer. Through Microsoft’s Smart Cities team, Microsoft supports innovation for the smart city of tomorrow by supporting the digital transformation of mobility.
AMAG will be applying its SMART SAFETY within its SMART Road Safety Digital Platform to reduce crashes and crash risk in the City of Bellevue. The customised Software as a Service (SaaS) platform uses AI to deliver safer and smarter cities by predicting and identifying future crash risks based on current conditions, and by suggesting remedies.
Jacobs (NYSE:J)—a globally leading civil engineering firm—is helping to create smart cities that enhance mobility, enrich learning, and encourage digital equity. Jacobs is also helping to build safe cities with a reduced risk of motor vehicle crashes. In this project, Jacobs will apply its extensive, world-leading engineering expertise to propose, engineer, and build transport network improvements in the City of Bellevue.
The City of Bellevue is a pioneering smart city and has brought the project partners together to help achieve its Vision Zero road safety objective of zero traffic deaths and serious injuries on Bellevue streets by 2030.
